WonderED K-12 Academy is the school of record and diploma issuer for 2026–27. FlexED HSE provides the specialized program and parent-supported learning experience. Students enroll through WonderED and receive its high school diploma after successfully completing applicable graduation requirements.
Personalize the learning. Keep a clear graduation plan.
Instruction can be adapted through flexible pacing, accessible materials, structured routines, and appropriate accommodations. The student’s plan must still identify the required courses or competencies, credit expectations, acceptable evidence, and review criteria.
A disability diagnosis, an IEP, or participation in the program does not automatically qualify a student for a diploma or waive academic requirements. We begin with the student’s actual records and goals.
Academic foundations
Required subjects may be addressed through approved coursework, projects, book studies, and documented community learning. WonderED determines how evidence meets its course and credit requirements.
Executive functioning
Build routines for planning, organization, time management, starting work, completing tasks, and reviewing progress. Calendars, checklists, assistive technology, and adult support can be appropriate parts of the plan.
Independent living
Practice personal routines, meal planning, laundry, household responsibilities, budgeting, transportation planning, and communicating needs through real-life activities.
Career and community readiness
Connect interests to career exploration, workplace communication, responsibilities, and community participation. Goals can include further education, supported employment, or other individual next steps.
What your written pathway should clarify
- Prior credits accepted after transcript and evidence review.
- Remaining academic, elective, and other graduation requirements.
- How practical learning will be evaluated and whether it can earn credit.
- Accommodations, learning tools, parent responsibilities, and available school support.
- How progress is reviewed and what happens if additional time or support is needed.
- The diploma issuer, anticipated timeline, tuition, and enrollment terms.
Is this the right next step?
A review can help families whose student learns differently, struggles in a conventional setting, needs substantial organization support, or has been offered a certificate-of-completion pathway. The goal is an honest fit discussion—not an automatic graduation promise.
Before changing schools, ask your district how withdrawal or a different credential could affect current special education services and transition planning. Ask any future college, training program, employer, or military recruiter about its specific credential and coursework requirements.
