Who issues the diploma?
For 2026–27, WonderED K-12 Academy serves as the school of record and diploma issuer. FlexED HSE provides the specialized program and family experience. Students must successfully complete applicable graduation requirements.
Is FlexED itself accredited?
The accreditation referenced here belongs to WonderED K-12 Academy, a Cognia-accredited private school. FlexED is the program brand. Accreditation does not guarantee that every receiving organization will accept a credential or that a student will graduate.
Can a student with an IEP earn a diploma?
An IEP alone does not determine a student’s graduation credential. Diploma eligibility depends on the issuing school’s requirements, the student’s records, and successful completion of the applicable pathway. A review can clarify whether FlexED and WonderED are a suitable option.
Do you serve families outside Florida?
FlexED is designed for families nationwide. Enrollment depends on individual school review and applicable state requirements. Families should confirm how their home state treats enrollment, attendance, and any public-school service changes.
Does the program guarantee a diploma?
No. Enrollment provides a pathway, not an automatic credential. WonderED reviews credits and determines whether the student has completed applicable graduation requirements.
Can life skills replace required academic subjects?
Practical learning can be included in the student’s plan, but it does not automatically replace required academic credits. The school must approve how each experience meets course and credit requirements.
Will my child’s public-school IEP services transfer?
They do not automatically transfer. A parentally chosen private-school placement does not carry an individual IDEA entitlement to the same services available in public school. Discuss service options and transition planning with your district before withdrawing.
How much parent involvement is needed?
This is a parent-supported program. The amount depends on the student’s needs and the agreed plan. Discuss daily supervision, help with routines, learning activities, and communication expectations during your review.
Are therapies, one-to-one instruction, or live classes included?
Do not assume those services are included. Ask for a written description of the services available to your student, their frequency, any additional costs, and what your family must arrange separately.
Will prior credits transfer?
WonderED reviews transcripts and relevant learning evidence. Acceptance, course placement, and remaining requirements are determined after review, rather than assumed in advance.
Will the diploma be accepted by colleges or employers?
Acceptance is determined by the receiving organization. Ask about the exact diploma, transcript, courses, assessments, and admission or employment requirements. The same applies to military enlistment, licensing, and training programs.
What does the program cost?
Request tuition and enrollment terms during your Diploma Pathway Review. The specialized program’s services, costs, and any additional support should be clearly documented before enrollment.
Can we use ESA or scholarship funding?
Funding eligibility varies by program, provider approval, and state rules. Confirm the specific funding program and approved provider before relying on reimbursement or payment.
